How To Stop Being An Enabler (PC010)

Welcome to Open Topic Thursday.  I have a special program for you today.  I have a change facilitation session with a woman having difficulties with her adult daughter.  Sounds similar to episode 6 aired last Friday on Friends and Family Friday, but this story ends with a twist.  On the surface it looks like a simple case of enabling.  The woman, in order to avoid her daughter’s anger when she says,  “No” has been giving in to her requests and buying stuff for her.  That is putting a strain on her relationship with her husband, since she got caught overusing the credit card.

The session takes some twists and turns and in the end, we discover a lifelong pattern that literally started when she was in the cradle.  Self-will to change the pattern hasn’t helped, but when we get the root belief she finds relief and can do what she never could do before, say No and mean it.

At this point in the session I took a couple minutes to teach her how to do the energy testing.  And then we dived in and started testing beliefs.

  • If someone is angry I am going to get hurt
  • If someone is angry someone will get hurt
  • If there is anger I am not safe
  • I can handle my daughter’s anger
  • I can handle being uncomfortable
  • I am worthless
  • I deserve peace
  • I love myself
  • I know how to be comfortable in all situations
  • I am all connected to God
  • I am lazy
  • I like to take shortcuts
  • I don’t want to feel anything
  • I have to lie
  • I have to lie to be safe
  • I have to steal
  • Stealing gives me escape
  • I have a dark secret
  • I have enough
  • I have to steal to get enough
  • I am worthy of getting enough
  • Money is love
  • Stealing is power
  • Stealing gives me power
  • I am powerless
  • I am powerful
  • I have power
  • I am a thief
  • I am robin hood
  • I have a vow to help people by stealing.
  • I am a cool mom

*** Recorded Session ****

Unbelievable, eh?  Here we have a woman that is wanting to live in total honesty, yet is chained by the subconscious drive to take other people’s things.  I can hardly belief the story of her crawling out of her crib to go through her family members wallets and take the money.  Is there something in your life that you are ashamed of, but can’t stop doing.  Your subconscious is probably keeping you stuck.  I can help you get free.  Go to ChangeAnythingNow.com to learn more!
